I would highly recommend anyone binge watch Gossip Girl. It s probably one of my favourite series to watch, I have probably seen it start to finish easily 4 times. I get the same feelings at the same points every time. In my own opinion, once you start, you can’t stop. You get so wrapped up in the lives of these characters.
The romances that occur throughout the seasons are a show on its own, the drama, the fall outs, the love affairs and the friendships. You sometimes need a mind map to keep track of it all.
Everyone who has seen the show may not feel the same, but I adore Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf. They are one of my favourite fictional character couples. They are scheming geniuses that have the best chemistry ever. In the beginning, Chuck and Blair despise each other but after their limo encounter, things heat up from there. They are an incredible power couple, that have amazing chemistry. They absolutely have their ups and downs, (most of them are definitely upper class issues though) but they are a couple that are meant to be. Chuck would do anything for Blair and Blair has proved that she would do anything for Chuck. They have gone through a lot together and on their own but their love with stood it all. When you see them on screen, your heart flutters for them. They truly are meant to be.
To finish our review, I thought I would also talk about the second best couple on the show. Serena and Dan. I’m sorry, I thought they should be together. I know many people didn’t like when they were together but I completely disagree. I think they are completely different people when they are in a relationship. Serena is more down to earth and doesn’t care as much of what people think about her, and Dan is less critical of the Upper East Side and all that it involves. They seem like they make the perfect pair, they are completely different from each other and I think they compliment each other. You can see from episode one, season one that the both care for each other; and throughout the season that care and concern for each other never fades even when they are with other people. It is a refreshing type of couple to see on TV and I love it!
So that is my view on Gossip Girl without going into too much detail on it. It is so easy to give away spoilers and tell people who Gossip Girl is. But I think that ruins the whole experience of watching it. There is that feeling of not knowing anything and just wanting to see what happens next. So I thought I’d stick with the couple side to it. It definitely is a major part of the show and probably my favourite part to be fair. So if I were you and had never watched Gossip Girl, I would get myself to the nearest Netflix account, internet connection or TV. You need to watch it.
If you have seen the series let me know what you think. Do you love it as much as I do or is it a no go for you!!
